How do I get started?

The first thing you need to do is set-up a Hovr user account. This is really easy. Just visit us at www.Hovr.com or click here to register. Once you set-up an account you can start downloading games, and building your personal profile.

Why should I set-up an account with Hovr?

Well, you want to play games on your mobile phone, and we’ve got ‘em for free. Free - - as in no hidden subscriptions, no hidden charges, no spam, no selling your info to third parties, and no telemarketing – just the games you want subsidized by advertisers carefully selected to ensure the ads you see are totally relevant and non-obtrusive to your game playing experience.

The only way to experience all Hovr has to offer is to set-up your account. It’s quick and easy to sign-up, and did we mention it’s FREE? Once your account is set-up you can create your own personal games profile, build an avatar, track your gaming stats and play and compete against your friends and other gamers from around the world. Do I have to build a profile before I can start downloading games?

There is no golden rule at Hovr that says you have to build yourself a profile. So, if you want to be antisocial we're not going to stop you. But with thousands of gamers in our social network there is bound to be someone you’ll want to connect with. Take a chance, and build your profile.

Will Hovr work with my phone?

There are thousands of different mobile phones out there and Hovr is working hard to make sure that all our users’ phones will work with our games. We are adding support for more phones daily so if your phone is not supported today, drop us a line or check back soon.

My phone wasn’t on the list of supported phones on your website, does this mean I can’t play?

We are adding new phones to the list of Hovr compatible phones daily, so if your phone isn’t one of the phones we already support there are two things you can do:

First, drop us a line and let us know. Make sure to tell us what model you have so we can work on getting it added to the list.

Second, join the Hovr forum. Just because you can’t download our games today, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on being part of our mobile gamer community. Hopefully, we’ll add your phone to the list shortly and you can start to take full advantage of the Hovr offering.

I signed-up for an account, but when I went to download my first game, it said “This game is not supported by your phone”. What gives??

Not all games work with all phone models. In fact, did you know that the game developer that wrote the game you wanted to play has to create a new build of the game for each model of phone? That can be a lot of builds!

Here at Hovr we want to make sure that as many of you as possible can play all of our games on your mobile phone of choice, so we work closely with the game developers to bring you lots of options. Drop us a line in the community forum if there is a particular game you want to play on your phone that is not currently supported.

What kind of service plan do I need from my mobile carrier to download/play Hovr games?

You need a basic data plan. An unlimited Data Plan would be the best as it will let you play as much as you want without worrying about any data charges.

Can I invite my friends to join me on Hovr?

Of course! The more the merrier. In fact, we’re so pumped about you inviting your friends to join you on Hovr that we are putting together a special referral program for our loyal customers like you. Stay tuned for more from us on this new program coming soon.

Does Hovr design the games it sells?

Nah, we leave that to the pros. They specialize in building killer games, while we specialize in bringing them to you on your mobile phone free of charge. It’s a win/win for everyone.

We work with game developers like Ozura Mobil, Kiloo, and Robotube Games to bring you all the top games you want to play on your mobile phone.

How often do you add new games?

We add new games daily so check back often to see what’s new.

What if I have a game I want to make available to Hovr?

If you’ve designed new game that you think Hovr gamers would want to play on their mobile phones, contact us at publisher@hovr.com and you could be making money tomorrow from your game.

Can I request certain games?

Sure! That is exactly what the Hovr community forum is for. So log-on and drop us a line. Tell us all about the games you want and any other features that you think would improve our service.

How much do the games cost?

We said it before and we’ll say it again – FREE! All Hovr games are completely free - as in no hidden subscriptions, no hidden charges, no spam, no selling your info to third parties, and no telemarketing – just the games you want subsidized by advertisers carefully selected to ensure the ads you see are totally relevant and non-obtrusive to your game playing experience.

What does Ad-supported mean?

It means that we give you the games you want for FREE in exchange for viewing a short advertisement that doesn’t interfere with your game play.

We work closely with our advertisers to ensure that the ads you see are relevant and interesting, and don’t interfere in any way with you playing your game.

How many ads will I have to watch?

Typically you will see an advertisement before your game begins and at the end of your gaming session.

Am I charged for airtime/data transfer while I’m watching the ads?

A small amount of data transfer occurs when we deliver the ads to you and some mobile providers charge for that data so it is best to have a data plan before you start playing the games.

Is there a way to skip the ads?

You can choose to click Goto Game to directly go to the game and not interact with the ad.

Will a new ad appear every time I play a game?

We try our best to show you new ads which you would be most interested in. However from time to time, some ads are shown again in a manner which is most relevant to you.

Where do your ads come from?

Hovr works with online ad agencies to select the kind of advertisers we think our customers will be most interested in hearing from. Then we work with the advertisers to ensure that their ads make sense for you, and don’t interfere with you playing your game.

What if I see something I really like in one of the ads; can I click on the offer? What happens to my game?

Depending on your game, the game most likely will be suspended while you interact with the Ad and you can resume it once you are done with the offer.

Are your games free only during this beta period?

Nope! That wouldn’t be very nice of us now would it? When we say free – we mean free. Our business model is built on the belief that you shouldn’t ever have to pay for digital content, and as long as we can find advertisers to subsidize your game habits, we all benefit. So play on – for free!

What can I do when I become a member of the Hovr social network? Are there special member privileges?

But of course there are member privileges, and the bigger we grow the more benefits we can offer our members – the first being a load of free games!

In our social network as a Hovr member you can create a personal profile, upload an Avatar to represent yourself, add friends/buddies, compare your mobile game scores for certain games, view daily and all-time high score lists, and recommend games to your friends and buddies.
